Our story
The story of Capril Rancho das Vertentes begins with a deep desire to return.
After years of building a solid career in multinational companies in Rio de Janeiro as a Computer Engineer, Edson Cardoso felt it was time to give new meaning to his career path.
The dream?
Returning to his homeland to venture into agribusiness.
From 2014 to the present day.
Goat farming emerged as the perfect vocation: a sustainable practice that values quality over quantity and does not require large tracts of land.
In Barbacena, Minas Gerais, they found the ideal sanctuary to bring this project to life.
It all started modestly in 2014, with just 8 Saanen breed cows, carefully producing 8 liters of milk per day.
The following year, the herd grew: there were already 80 animals and production reached 80 liters per day, delivered to a processing plant.
The Tipping Point
But simply delivering the raw materials wasn't enough.
There was a latent desire to create something unique: a line of 100% artisanals, clean products, without preservatives or chemical additives.
What began as timid and praised tastings among friends quickly became the cornerstone for setting up our own dairy and creating an original product portfolio.

Today, Capril Rancho das Vertentes is proud to present a portfolio with more than 15 high-quality gastronomic products, developed and produced entirely by us.
Our biggest differentiator is absolute quality control: we exclusively use milk that originates from our own farm.
It is the rigor of engineering combined with respect for nature's timing, guaranteeing animal welfare and a final product that wins over not only palates, but also national and international awards ( such as our highlights at World Championships in Brazil and France ).

Queijaria Rancho das Vertentes was created to be more than just a shop: it's a space designed to provide moments of joy, celebration, and unforgettable experiences .
Located in the historic and charming Novo Mercado São José , in the Laranjeiras neighborhood, our new cheese factory functions as a true extension of Capril Rancho das Vertentes.
We brought the soul, the terroir, and the aromas of Barbacena directly to Rio de Janeiro, creating a meeting point for lovers of haute cuisine and our multi-award-winning cheeses. In addition, we offer products from our partners, selected through a meticulous curation process.
