Rancho das Vertenes - Edson Cardoso

Our story

Capril Rancho das Vertentes

Edson Cardoso, a computer engineer by training, after working for numerous multinational companies in Rio de Janeiro, dreamed of returning to his mother and wife's hometown to venture into agribusiness. He saw goat farming as a good option, as it was a practice that did not require a very large area, and together with his wife Sandra Canton Cardoso, he found a perfect area to start Capril Rancho das Vertentes .

From 2014 to the present day.

Initially, they acquired 8 Saanen breed cows, producing only eight liters of milk per day. That was in 2014.

The following year, they increased their herd to 80 animals and began producing 80 liters of milk per day. All of the production was delivered to a goat milk processing company in Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro. But soon came the desire to have a line of artisanal products without added preservatives or other chemicals. They started promoting tasting events with friends and began assembling their product portfolio and dairy.
